English for Speakers of Other Languages – ESOL

Borders College, in partnership with Scottish Borders Community and Development, offers English classes for adults living in the Scottish Borders for whom English is not the first language.

You can study at a range of levels, from beginners through to SCQF Level 5.

Classes will be delivered online.

Once you have registered, you will be invited to an online assessment where you will work with a trained tutor to decide what level of English is best for you.

Once you have been assessed, you will receive an invitation when your class is due to start. You may have to wait for an assessment or for a suitable class to start.

The cost of your class will depend on the result of your assessment.
