Digital Pathfinder Learning Opportunities
Borders College and Dumfries and Galloway College are leading the way to discover and develop digital skillsets across the South of Scotland.
In partnership with DYW Borders, DYW Dumfries and Galloway, Skills Development Scotand, Scottish Borders Council and Dumfries and Galloway Council, the Digital Pathfinder programme is designed to help the region become more competitive by facilitating the delivery of higher-level digital skills to students, individuals and businesses.

Inspire Learning Festival 2023
| Overview | In person at the Borders Showground, Kelso. – led by SBC Inspire Learning, with support for various partners including DYW. Activities include coding with BBC Microbit, robots and Spheros. For this coming year it will include S1 or S2 pupils, possibly parents and have more connections to businesses. |

College Academy Senior Phase 2023/24 (D&G College) - Cyber Security
| Overview | Cyber Security NPA @ SCQF Level 5. This course provides you with the foundation knowledge and skills in Cyber Security. You will develop skills relevant to the use of Data Security, Digital Forensics and Ethical Hacking so you become aware of the potential misuses of, and unauthorised access to computer systems, but who use these competences for legal and ethical purposes. |

College Academy Senior Phase 2023/24 (D&G College) E-Sports
| Overview | Introduction to E-Sports NPA @ SCQF Level 5. This course will give you an introduction into E-sports and advise you how you can progress within the computing industry which extends far beyond games development and Esports, with a variety of computing technologies through to our degree programme in partnership with UWS. |

UWS Computing Foundation Academy @ SCQF Level 6
| Overview | Dumfries & Galloway College in partnership with University of West of Scotland is offering you to start your degree programme whilst in school and get you on the pathway to your degree. This programme will help you prepare for university and start your learning on your degree pathway. On successful completion of the Academy Course, you will gain automatic entry into the higher course where you start working on units that will help you progress onto the first year of a Cyber Degree, delivered at DGC in partnership with UWS. |
