The Department of Enterprise and Business Innovation (DEBI) works with employers to find business solutions and staff development opportunities throughout the United Kingdom at a time and place to suit your needs.

The major strength of the Unit is in the team of industry specialists who work with organisations to identify the most appropriate learning route for employees and offer a full range of interventions, from short courses to certificated work-based learning.

We focus on assisting organisations to maximise their business potential through the development of their workforce. We deliver our training to a wide range of organisations and have developed a broad portfolio to support employees wishing to improve their skills, with courses at all levels to ensure we are a one-stop shop for our customers.

Through the delivery of Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) we work with staff to develop their skills, increase their performance and ultimately improve job satisfaction. Modern Apprenticeships are training programmes for those in employment and cover a wide range of qualifications and industry sectors. The opportunities are very varied and flexible. No matter what your age or job role, we will support you to complete an apprenticeship that helps you to demonstrate competence in your chosen field. Foundation Apprenticeships, for senior phase students, are based on existing industry-recognised qualifications and enable school students to gain valuable work experience while also attending college regularly. We also offer a diverse range of leisure classes and certificated qualifications to those wishing to upskill, change jobs or enter further or higher education.
