Course Content

The course will cover the following topics

  • The basics
  • How to care and condition your flowers
  • Preparing containers
  • Wrapping bunches, tied bouquets

You will be shown a range of techniques to help you create different styles of floral design and through practical demonstration, you will be given guidance to help you create a range of different types of floral designs. Potential arrangements include; gift bag, wrist corsage, button hole, aqua packed, wreaths, table centres, bouquets.

Each course is planned around the season with themes including; Valentines, Easter, Autumnal/Halloween, Christmas.

Students are asked to bring with them flowers and foliage each week to create a range of designs. (This should cost no more than 25GBP each week). Students will be given advice on which types of fresh material to bring for each session.
