Employers have a duty of care to ensure a safe working environment under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This course will give an understanding of how to protect employees and any visitors in the workplace.

This course is also approved by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) as an equivalent qualification which learners once achieved, can apply to sit the test for a CSCS Green Labourer Card.

Qualifications

A REHIS (Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) certificate will be awarded on successful completion.

Delivery

One-day course from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm including mulitple choice examination.

Location

Delivery at our Hawick Campus, TD9 0EH. There is also an online (via Microsoft Teams) course date arranged.

No formal entry requirements, however we expect 3 hours self study prior to course delivery. Course handbook will be posted out in advance of the course date.
