“From the start of her award, Jasmin showed commitment, a drive for improvement, and personal growth. She was extremely responsible, focused on tasks, organised and always met her deadlines, without fail.”

Those are the words of Borders College Assessor Fiona Aitchison, talking about her student Jasmin Fraser-Allan, who recently completed her SVQ3 in Healthcare Support.

Fiona continued:

“Working closely with her employer, it was clear to see how well thought of she was within her organisation, being nominated for an award in recognition of her hard work and commitment to her colleagues and service users.

“Jasmin embraced the knowledge and understanding aspects of her learning, which enriched her practice and competencies within her role. This has opened opportunities for Jasmin and had a positive impact on her future career.”

Delighted at finishing the course, Jasmin said:

“Studying for my SVQ 3 in Healthcare Support (Non-Clinical) has been an enjoyable experience and provided the opportunity to study a range of different topics.

“Since completing the qualification, I’ve started a new job as a Team Secretary within NHS Highland, and I feel that undertaking this qualification has helped me become confident in my capabilities.

“I was grateful for the opportunity to complete the course and felt really supported throughout. My tutor, Fiona Aitchison, has been very supportive and helpful, making the whole experience positive. I am grateful for her support throughout. I would really encourage anyone who can undertake the course to do so.”
