Student Anita Zelewska recently completed her SVQ 3 Healthcare Support (Non-Clinical) level 3 award at Borders College.

Talking about her success, Anita said:

“I work as a Laundry Supervisor in the Laundry Department at NHS Borders. Thanks to this course, I expanded my theoretical knowledge, improved my qualifications and got the opportunity to take on greater challenges.

“I strongly encourage people to improve their qualifications through a Borders College course. The course was interesting and informative, and provided me with new knowledge I will use in practice. The communication, observation and support I received from my Tutor made me realise that it is worth it and interesting to acquire knowledge, regardless of age.”

Fiona Aitchison, Anita’s Tutor/Assessor at college, commented:

“Anita was a fantastic candidate who tackled issues and challenges with a positive, can-do attitude. She was very keen to learn new knowledge to enhance her practices and have a positive impact on her work setting.

“With a desire to learn and grow, Anita flourished, and it was a privilege to witness her confidence and underpinning knowledge grow from strength to strength. I am confident that this is just the beginning for Anita’s further education, and I know she is keen to continue her studies and personal development.”

Michelle O’Reilly, Chief Nurse Clinical and Professional Development, said:

“We are delighted to celebrate Anita's fantastic achievement at NHS Borders. Supporting the growth and development of our staff is at the heart of what we do, as it directly enhances patient outcomes and strengthens our organisation at every level. No matter where our team members work, nurturing their potential ensures a thriving, motivated workforce that drives excellence in care and service.”
