Health and Social Care SCQF Level 5/6

Delivery

Full-time 36 week course, 3 days per week in College / online.

The Level 5/6 comprises of lectures, group work, practical sessions, on-line resource self study and is delivered by vastly experienced professionals.

Entry requirements

Successful completion of Health and Social Care SCQF Level 4/5 or two National 5 awards at level C or above to include English or communications core skills at level 4 and one Nat 4 in a science subject.Additional Requirements: Interview: Applicants will be invited to attend an interview session.PVG Check: All students will be required to complete a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) form.If English is not your first language, you should have a minimum of SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses, and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.

Progression opportunities

Successful students can progress to Higher Social Care, Higher Health including Access to Nursing or NC Early Education and Childcare courses.

Career Prospects

Career opportunities in the social, health and child care fields, e.g. as a Care Assistant, Playgroup Assistant. Support Worker, Family Support Worker, Personal Assistant or Day Care Officer.
