This course will give you an introduction to this subject area and the basic skills necessary to progress onto further study in Computing, IT or another subject. Undertaking course work in our computing department students will undertake units that will provide a broad skillset for this evolving and progressive vocation. There will be a focus on programming skills, cyber diciplines, technology and collaborative working in a computing team. Candidates will also be able to develop essential skills, which are transferrable to continue in various pathways in further education and into employment.
Qualifications
Upon successful completion, candidates will achieve the following awards;
- NPA in Computing Technology at SCQF Level 6
The delivery will be project based and will provide candidates the opportunity to develop a wide range of digital skills.

Entry requirements
Applications should have three relevant National 5 qualifications including one of Maths, Computing Science or Physics.
Applicants with no formal qualifications will be considered on an individual basis and their applications or enquiries are encouraged.
