Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Borders College students to take part in international development
Following the first round of interviews for the planned trip to Canada in 2024 we still have some places available 👏 Second round applications are now OPEN!
Closing date for applications is 12th January 2024. Interviews will take place the week beginning 22nd January

The Turing Scheme is a global programme offering periods of study or work abroad and providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to undertake activities leading to personal and professional development. The Turing Scheme provides funding for outward mobility to destinations worldwide and encourages participation by Borders College students.
🇨🇦 The trip will be for 16 nights in May 2024 and will involve a trip to Centennial College in Toronto to learn more about the Canadian culture, education system, meet new people and explore Toronto and the surrounding area.
- 🍁 Students must have an attendance record of 80% or above and be on track with their studies, as they will need to have completed most of their course work before the trip.
- 🍁 Students are expected to do a presentation on “What Global Citizenship means to me” as well as meeting the project team and answering a few questions.
- 🍁 Closing date for applications is 12th January 2024. Interviews will take place the week beginning 22nd January
