SVQ in Management at SCQF Level 9

SVQs are Scottish Vocational Qualifications. The SVQs are work-based qualifications that are based on standards of competence set by the Sector Skills Council and in conjunction with industry bodies. Qualifications

The Scottish Vocational Qualification in Management at SCQF Level 9 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job-related skills in their particular area of work and expertise. It has been developed to support those working as middle managers. This qualification is jointly awarded with the Chartered Institute of Management (CMI). Candidates who are registered for this SVQ are able to take advantage of 12 months free studying membership of CMI. The course consists of four mandatory units and four optional units. For managers working in care who are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council, we currently also offer the following qualifications: PDA Managing Self and the Work of Others at SCQF Level 7 SVQ 4 Care Services Leadership and Management at SCQF Level 10

Delivery

At your workplace - our Borders College Assessor will guide you every step of the way, visiting regularly and providing personalised tutoring and support. College premises in the Borders and other venues are often used for meeting up, or to access computer and library facilities. Start dates are all year round. We work with people individually therefore start dates are negotiable.
