Qualifications

The course comprises 4 mandatory units and 4 optional units. The mandatory units cover: health and safety; protection and well-being of individuals; developing practice; safe guarding of children and young people; communication and record keeping. 4 optional units can be chosen from a range of options suited to the work place. To achieve the Modern Apprenticeship candidates must also achieve 2 core skills at SCQF Level 5 in ICT & Numeracy.

Delivery

At your workplace - our Borders College Assessor will guide you every step of the way, visiting regularly and providing personalised tutoring and support. Start dates are all year round. We work with people individually therefore start dates are negotiable.
