The Modern Apprenticeship in Management is a work based qualification delivered by direct observation and the production of a portfolio of evidence. Candidates are assigned an assessor who will support them through the delivery of this Modern Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

The course comprises of 4 mandatory units and 3 optional units. The units cover the following areas: Lead your team, Develop your knowledge, skills and competence, Manage peoples' performance at work, Provide healthy, safe, secure and productive working environments and practices.3 optional units can be chosen from a range of options suited to the work place. To achieve the Modern Apprenticeship candidates must also achieve 5 core skills at SCQF Level 5 in Communication, Working with Others, Problem Solving, ICT & Numeracy. Along with one mandatory enhancement which can be either, one core skill at a higher level or a unit from an SVQ (Scottish Vocational Qualification) at SCQF Level 6 or above, relevant to the apprentice's job role, or one additional unit from the Management SVQ at SCQF Level 7.

Delivery

At your workplace - our Borders College Assessor will guide you every step of the way, visiting regularly and providing personalised tutoring and support. College premises in Borders and other venues are often used for meeting up, or to access computer and library facilities. Start dates are all year round. We work with people individually therefore start dates are negotiable.

Scotland - candidates can be located in any area of Scotland
